Deeply experiential, nature-based
retreats and intensives for women leaders
Four-Day Intensive: March 20 – 23, 2008
Six-Day Retreat:
September 15 – 20, 2008
with Emma Portlock, M.A. and
Susanna Maida, Ph.D.
Do you yearn to lead in a way that deeply honors your whole and authentic woman self?
Are you called to be of service through your leadership,
yet know you must do so in a more healthy, balanced, and sustainable way?
Is it time to respond to the longing in your soul and call forth your most vibrant potential as a leader?
Come join us for
these one-of-a-kind programs designed especially for women leaders like you.
Using the natural world as a teacher and drawing on an
ancient model of wisdom known as The Four Shields, you will have the
opportunity to:
- Reflect
on your personal leadership path
- Build
on the deep wisdom inherent in a circle of women leaders
- Open
your heart and mind to new ideas about being a leader
- Rejuvenate
your body and spirit
There are many programs designed to help you become a
more effective leader by teaching you specific leadership skills, tools, and
strategies. The Four Shields of
Leadership retreats and intensives are nothing like that. They do not grow your leadership capabilities by externally adding to
your repertoire. Rather, they are a soul-nourishing approach that encourages you
to:
- Connect
with the wisdom of your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual self
- Call
forth the fullness of who you already are as well as who you are becoming
- Bring
that naturally powerful authenticity to your work as a leader
Described by past participants as "an essential opportunity for women leaders", these
one-of-a-kind, deeply experiential explorations will help you to:
- Go beyond your personal and cultural
definitions of what it means to be a leader
- Courageously weave more of your unique gifts,
talents, passions, and wisdom into your leadership
- Influence and inspire the individuals and
groups you lead through the transforming quality of this kind of authentic
leadership
While both the retreat and the intensive take place in nature, neither is physically rigorous and no previous outdoor experience is necessary. Gentle interactions with nature are our intention. If you can walk comfortably on uneven surfaces, you can participate. The depth of your experience is not influenced by your physical capacity.
